Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 June 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the developer of DocuScan AI ("the app", "we", "us") governing your use of the app. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). Where these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA governs to the extent required by Apple.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service and the Standard EULA.

2. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing

3. Acceptable use

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the documents and content you create or import. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we are not responsible for it. You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups.

5. AI features

Some features use artificial intelligence to generate results. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. Please verify important results yourself. Do not rely on AI output as legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

8. Apple

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "last updated" date will reflect changes. We may suspend or discontinue the app, in whole or in part, at any time. You may stop using the app at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where your local consumer-protection laws require otherwise.
